Chloe Whitewater is our Community Science Coordinator, dedicated to making forest pathology accessible to everyone. She manages the annual SOD Blitz surveys, comparing volunteer-led data sets with professional surveys to ensure scientific accuracy. Chloe believes that empowered homeowners are the first line of defense against Phytophthora ramorum. By analyzing the success of different community outreach models, she helps refine our educational resources. Her warm approach encourages thousands of volunteers to pick up sampling kits and contribute to the preservation of our iconic California landscapes.
